It provides access to tools, knowledge, and shared spaces for people on the move, local residents, and international volunteers.Rooted in values of solidarity, mutual respect, and justice, the project fosters community, agency, and resilience in a context shaped by European migration policies.Role DescriptionThe kitchen supervisor is responsible for managing the kitchen, daily cooking, and food distribution at Habibi.Works. Works with community participants.Primary responsibilities:Oversee ingredients and materials; coordinate with Procurement/Logistics Officer for weekly food shopping.Facilitate daily food preparation; ensure safe use of kitchen equipment; guide participants.Ensure appropriate quantities are prepared and distributed fairly.Maintain hygiene and cleanliness; encourage good practices.Secondary responsibilities:Monitor kitchen equipment; sort broken or unneeded items; communicate material needs.Document kitchen activities.Collaborate with team members; ensure groceries are handled by Procurement/Logistics Officer.Skills and ExperienceBasic cooking skills.Time management and adaptability.Ability to work in changing teams and under potential stress.Requirements:Commitment: minimum 6 weeks, up to 3 monthsMinimum age: 22Ability to live in the EU for duration of stay (we cannot support with visa processes)What we offer:Shared accommodationMeals on working daysTwo weekend days (Sunday & Monday)A meaningful role in a grassroots, solidarity-based projectHow to applyPlease send your application via email to recruiting@soupandsocks.eu with the subject line "R_Kitchen Supervisor September 2026”Ideal start date: End of August/Early September 2026
