Country: IraqOrganization: TearfundClosing date: 7 Sep 2026Tearfund is seeking an experienced and collaborative Project Coordinator to join our team in Iraq and play a key role in coordinating the delivery of our portfolio within a consortium project. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional who is passionate about influencing change, driving high-quality project implementation, and ensuring impactful partnerships in alignment with Tearfund's Country Strategy.To coordinate and manage Tearfund's portfolio within a consortium project and manage Tearfund's partner, in coordination with the Programme Quality Director (PQD), ensuring effective design, assessment and monitoring of partner projects in support of the delivery of Tearfund's Strategy for Iraq while ensuring projects reflect Tearfund Quality Standard commitments.Are you passionate about coordinating teams, supporting partnerships, and ensuring quality project delivery that transforms lives? Do you have the ability to manage complex project cycles, build robust relationships with partners, and maintain operational excellence with integrity? If so, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference.The ideal candidate will have:A University Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Development, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Economics, Business, or other discipline relating to Livelihoods and resilience or a humanitarian-related field).A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, specifically in managing Public Private Partnership.Very strong experience in resilience and livelihoods programming at both strategic and operational levelsDemonstrated experience in integrating gender and diversity issues into programmesProject cycle management experience, including strategic planning, budgeting, reporting, monitoring & evaluationDemonstrated experience in partnership management and providing support to partner organisations.Proven ability to coordinate project implementation and track deliverables against work plans.Experience in managing documentation, budgets, and project data to ensure high-quality reporting.Experience in delivering training or mentoring colleagues or partners in good project practices.Prior experience with international humanitarian organizationsThe ideal candidate should also have:Strong coordination, influencing, and relationship-building skills for working with staff and partners.Strong interest in Gender and Women's Economic Empowerment programsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of addressing programmatic challenges.Ability to communicate ideas in a culturally-sensitive manner and conducive to their practical application especially in similar contextsAbility to adapt and work within a multicultural, multilingual and multidisciplinary environmentExcellent report writing and facilitation skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and comfortable with constant change.Strong organisational and administrative skills.Strong IT skills (Google Workspace, Excel, etc.).Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.Fluent in spoken and written ArabicExcellent spoken and written EnglishVery good interpersonal and negotiation skillsMentoring and coaching skillsPlease note that this role will be based in Basra, Iraq.
