Country: Syrian Arab RepublicOrganization: Independent Doctors AssociationClosing date: 12 Sep 2026Responsibilities and DutiesProvide healthcare and midwifery care to pregnant women and mothers in accordance with approved standards and procedures.Monitor women during labor, including maternal and fetal vital signs and overall condition.Conduct and monitor examinations and assess the progress of labor within the scope of midwifery practice.Assist women during normal vaginal deliveries and provide the necessary care before, during, and after delivery.Monitor mothers and newborns after delivery and ensure their health conditions remain stable.Recognize early signs of danger and complications during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the postpartum period, and immediately report them to the physician or medical team.Provide initial care to newborns and monitor their condition after birth.Support and encourage breastfeeding and provide mothers with health education on newborn care.Adhere to infection prevention and control, sterilization, and patient safety procedures.Accurately document all procedures, observations, and care related to mothers and newborns in medical records.Collaborate and coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure safe and comprehensive care.Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and hospital policies.Participate in obstetric emergencies and provide the necessary support within the scope of practice.Participate in shifts and perform other related duties within the scope of work according to the needs of the department.Qualifications and RequirementsDiploma or degree in Midwifery.Valid professional practice license.Previous experience in obstetrics and gynecology, preferably in hospital settings.Good knowledge of antenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care practices.Ability to manage obstetric emergencies.Good communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work under pressure and adhere to shift schedules.How to applyhttps://ida-org.com/jobs/midwife-24/
