All employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of all applicable background checks, including criminal record checks where possible.Location: Syria - RaqqaNumber of Positions: 1Salary: As per the UNISEF salary scaleJob purpose:Under the overall supervision of the Education Coordinator, the BTL coordinator will facilitate the implementation of essential day-to-day activities related to the BTL at the AP level. S/he will support daily programme activities and provide technical guidance to local volunteers who assist WV in implementing specific activities and directly engage with communities to ensure successful implementation of BTLs. Regular site visits and reporting and monitoring of activity of BTLs is required.This person will also play a significant role in building the capacity of local volunteers and community members to understand World Vision’s Education Sector Approach and ensure that they have the right competencies, support and mentoring to effectively implement education activities with quality.Major Responsibilitiesa.Technical Guidance, Supervision, Quality Assurance, and Improvement.b. Facilitate implementation of BTLs activities, and ensure the quality of their implementation.c. Participate in children mapping and monitoring processes in communities to ensure participation of children (including registered children and the most vulnerable) and their families in education community action activities.d. Conduct weekly/monthly monitoring of attendance at various education activities.e. Conduct regular site visits to project locations to provide ensure the outcome of BTL is obtained and disseminate the required messages.f. Provide technical support to baselines, mid-term and end-of-project evaluationsg. Support the project team for distributing all projects items to project’s locationsh. Participating in setting the lesson’s plans and archiving all projects datai. In emergency or response situations happening within the area programme, support Education Emergencies programming; train volunteers or local partners for education programming implementation.j. Follow up with project staff about securing the required materials for BTLs and ensure a systematic closure of the process.Capacity Building and Volunteer DevelopmentBuild the capacity of local volunteers and communities to understand education programming and interventions.Support Education Coordinator to build capacity of local education actors to improve the quality of, and access to, schools for children, including those with disabilitiesBuild social capital and trust within the community (shared values, understanding, etc.) to enable better working relationships to support quality education for children and to build a culture of learning in the community (outside of school).Advocacy, External Engagement and PartneringBuild effective relationships with local children’s groups, parent groups, etc.) to ensure sustainability of programming.Research, Evidence, Reporting, and Knowledge ManagementCreate space and time with project staff and community members to reflect on what is learned through implementation of BTLFacilitate opportunities for local volunteers, project staff and partners to document good practices from project activities and BTL specifically.Support the Education Coordinator to ensure that qualitative and quantitative education-related data and information for input 4W, and project’s reportsIncorporate children’s feedback on programme activities into knowledge sharing sessions and debrief with children’s groups to let them know how their opinions have affected implementation.SafeguardingReport adult and child safeguarding incidents for designated area programmes (Levels 1-3)Support proper implementation of the office’s Safeguarding Incident Preparedness Plans at local area programme level.Any additional tasks required by the line manager.Knowledge/Qualifications for the RoleRequired Professional Experience:3-5 years’ work experience in the field of education.Experience of working with humanitarian agencies in Syria.Knowledge and understanding of how to apply a systems approach to education programming.Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:University degree in education or related field – Essential.Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:Strong inter-personal communication and collaboration skills.Strong documentation and report writing skills.Knowledge of common national education issues and violations.Ability to work individually and in a team – Essential.Attention to detail – Essential.Time management skills – Essential.Excellent communication and co-operation skills – Essential.Ability to cope and work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines – Essential.Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package – Essential.How to applyIf you meet our requirements, please submit your resume via the link below, only applications submitted via our link are accepted." https://sy-koboviews.lmms.org/x/6w1RSAeq "This Advertisement is strictly for World Vision International use, and it should not be copied and used in other websites without WVI written consent.Qualified females and people with disability are strongly encouraged to apply.We believe in equal opportunities for all applicants.
