Country: Syrian Arab RepublicOrganization: UNOPSClosing date: 1 Oct 2026Functions / Key Results ExpectedWithin delegated authority, the Information Management and Analytics Associate will report to the Information Management and Analytics Senior Analyst (Head of the IM Unit) and be responsible for the following duties:Support the operational activities of the IM functionAssist in the definition, documentation, and implementation of IM processes with a focus on data entry;Support the implementation of IM Standard Operating Procedures;Perform data entry, verification, cleaning, and quality checks of incoming mine action reports;Maintain organized physical and digital archives of operational data, survey files, tasking orders, and field reports;Support database maintenance, backups, and data imports under the guidance of the head of the unit.Assist in testing and supporting data collection tools used by field teams and implementing partners;Identify and report data inconsistencies, gaps, or errors.Respond to data queries from internal operational and programme teams in a timely manner;Assist in organizing logistical and administrative requirements for Mine Action Area of Responsibility (MA AoR) meetings and IM technical working groups and workshops;Support information-sharing with UN entities and implementing partners in compliance with data security policies.Assist in data cleaning, mapping, and formatting tasks required for UNMAS data migration to IMSMA Core;Provide administrative and technical support for capacity-building activities targeting SNMAC.Assist in preparing training materials and logistical setup for IM training management packages;Support the delivery of basic IM data entry training to implementing partners.Produce standard static maps, spatial visuals, operational snapshots, and summary charts for reporting;Contribute to the compilation of data for monthly factsheets, dashboards, and programmatic reports;SkillsData Management, Data Migration, Data Visualization, Databases, GIS Application, Information Management, Reporting, Technical Documentation, TrainingCompetenciesTreats all individuals with respect; responds sensitively to differences and encourages others to do the same.
