Many of these engagements are awarded through competitive procurement processes.To support the growth of our business development function, we are recruiting a part-time Proposal Writer.About the roleReporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Proposal Writer is responsible for preparing high-quality technical proposals in response to tenders, requests for proposals and expressions of interest issued by international organisations. The position involves close collaboration with our technical, information management and project management experts, translating their expertise into compelling, compliant and well-structured submissions.The successful candidate will ensure that every proposal reflects Relief Applications' quality standards, fully meets the client's requirements and is delivered on time.Key responsibilitiesProposal developmentAnalyse Terms of Reference and tender documents to identify client requirements, evaluation criteria and compliance obligations.Draft technical proposals, including context analysis, methodology, work plan, deliverables, team structure and quality assurance approach.Present Relief Applications' relevant experience, project references and team composition in the formats requested.Ensure consistency of tone, structure and quality across all sections of each proposal.Coordination and planningPlan and coordinate the proposal process, from kick-off to final review, with clearly defined roles and internal deadlines.Work closely with technical, IM and project management experts to develop the methodology and implementation approach.Contribute to the preparation of financial proposals in coordination with the Chief Commercial Officer and the Project Management team.Compliance and submissionVerify full compliance with administrative and technical requirements, including forms, declarations, annexes, formatting.Manage submissions through procurement portals or by email, and handle correspondence and clarification requests with contracting authorities.Maintain accurate records of submitted proposals, outcomes and client feedback.Candidate profileAdditional assetsBackground in information management, IT or dataFamiliarity with procurement platforms such as UNGM, UNDP Quantum or EU Funding & TendersExperienceMinimum of 2 years' experience in proposal writing or bid management, preferably for United Nations, European Union, INGO or foundation tendersProfessional experience in the humanitarian, international development or technology consulting sectorUniversity degree in International Development, Communications, Business Administration, Information Management, IT or a related field; a Master's degree is an assetLanguagesFull professional proficiency in written and spoken EnglishWorking knowledge of French or Spanish is highly desirableSkillsExcellent writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and persuasive contentSound understanding of consultancy services in software development, information management, data, MEAL or data protectionKnowledge of UN, EU and NGO procurement rules and proceduresAbility to support budget preparation using spreadsheetsProficiency with digital writing, research and collaboration tools, including Google Workspace, AI assistants, and rigorous about checking factsSoft skillsRigorous attention to detail and strong commitment to deadlinesExcellent organisational skills and the ability to manage several proposals in parallelStrong interpersonal and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teamsAnalytical mindset and the ability to identify client needs from complex documentationDiscretion in handling confidential informationHow to applyInterested candidates are invited to apply through the form below with their CV and a short introduction video of two to three minutes, presenting their background and their motivation for the role.Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.Application Form HERE
