Country: Syrian Arab RepublicOrganization: IYD International Humanitarian Relief AssociationClosing date: 26 Sep 2026Job PurposeThe role of the Protection outreach Worker/GP is to prepare and implement the Protection Monitoring Assessments and child protection situation monitoring assessments in targeted areas through daily outreach visits, She/he will provide GBV,CP, GP, risk education, and mine action sessions in the targeted areas, reception centers and camps and update the service mapping on monthly basis.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and conduct GBV,CP, GP, mine action, and risk education awareness-raising sessions for beneficiaries at the target camps, community centers, and outreach field level.Prepare and implement protection monitoring assessments and child protection situation monitoring assessments in the targeted communities.Ensure the safe identification of vulnerable and at-risk individuals mostly those affected by the EQs and GP and CP cases to be referred to the needed services as per the most updated service mapping.Contribute to the designing and implementation of activities in campaigns and events.Introduce the project, disseminate information, and update service mapping through daily outreach visits.Attendrequested training and meetings when available or requested in coordination with the CP field supervisor and/or program coordinator.Prepare and submit reports and documentation for activities on time and report directly to the team leader and CP field supervisor.Participate in building the capacity of community committees.Implementing emergency response for displaced people in new displacement situations.Note: The above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department's organizational chart.Qualification (Education/Work Experience)Essential:University degree in Psychological counseling/Psychology, Social Sciences, sociology, Education, Law, or any other related field of study.Previous practical experience in the same job position in an NGO.Having basic proficiency in using e-mails and filling in beneficiaries’ information on electronic forms.Commitment to the basic morals of working with vulnerable people and respecting confidentiality.Ability to work independently and with a team at the same time.Ability to conduct individual and group awareness-raising sessions and group activities in CP and GP issues.Desirable:Master's degree in Education, law or Social Sciences.More than three years of professional experience in the same position.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Core & Managerial CompetenciesCore Competencies:CommunicationTeamworkPlanning and organizingAccountabilityCreativityClient OrientationCommitment to Continuous LearningTechnological Awareness.Technical Competencies:Good knowledge of using MS Office.Ability to work independently and responsiblyThe ability to adapt to work conditions and deal effectively with different environments and cultures.Possessing flexibility, responsibility and reliability at work.Good understanding of social welfare standards and protection mechanisms.Commitment to support the child protection policy, as well as the principles of do no harm, confidentiality and the policy of sexual exploitation and harassment.Compliance to Anti-Harassment, PSEA, and Child SafeguardingChild abuse in all forms is unacceptable to IYD, which recognizes its responsibility to protect children from harm in all areas of its work.
