The ECPAT Network currently consists of 141 members working as independent organisations or coalitions in 113 countries. The ECPAT International Secretariat coordinates the global work of the network and is based in Bangkok, Thailand. The Secretariat designs and implements global and regional initiatives and undertakes programming, campaigning, advocacy and research to facilitate network initiatives.Context of the consultancyThe Global Alliance for the Protection of Boys from Sexual Violence (GAPB), convened by ECPAT International, together with members and partners, will hold a satellite event (under the lead of the GAPB Steering Committee member Family for Every Child) during the Global Inter-Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children in Manila, Philippines, in November 2026. The satellite event will bring together representatives from governments, civil society organisations, practitioners and other stakeholders to discuss the protection of boys from sexual violence and strengthen attention to boys within broader efforts to prevent and respond to violence against children.To support the visibility of the event and extend its reach beyond participants attending in person, ECPAT International and the GAPB are seeking a Manila-based communications and multimedia professional, consultant or small production team to provide photo and video coverage and short-form social media content during and immediately after the event. The assignment should help document the event itself while also capturing the perspectives of participants and speakers and creating accessible communications materials that can be used by the GAPB, ECPAT International and participating organisations to promote key advocacy and policy messages emerging from the discussion.Objectives of the assignmentThe overall objective of the consultancy is to develop a package of multimedia content documenting and promoting the GAPB satellite event.The content should:Communicate the purpose and key messages of the satellite event to audiences beyond the conference;Document participation and engagement during the event;Capture short interviews/reflections from speakers, panellists and participants;Provide GAPB partners with professional visual materials that can be used across social media, websites, newsletters and other communications channels.Key deliverablesThe consultant will provide multimedia communications materials including:4-5 edited video interviews with selected speakers, panellists and participants, around 60-90 seconds each (subtitles, minimal graphics, and background music included);Edited B-roll footage capturing key moments of the 2.5-hour satellite event, and other relevant parts of the conference;Around 40-50 combined photos from the satellite event, the general conference, and any other relevant GAPB engagements;All raw materials produced during the assignment, including original video footage, interview recordings, B-roll, audio files and high-resolution photographs.MethodologyThe consultant will work in close collaboration with ECPAT International's Gender and Child Protection team and Communications team, as well as other GAPB members involved in the satellite event.The assignment will include one preparatory briefing, development of a simple content plan, on-site coverage of the event and post-production of the agreed multimedia materials.ECPAT International and the GAPB will provide the event agenda, key messages, branding materials and guidance on priority speakers and interviewees.Given the sensitive subject matter of the event, all content should be produced in line with ethical communications, informed consent and child safeguarding principles.Consultant profileThe consultant needs to have:Demonstrated professional experience in event photography and videography;Experience producing short-form video and multimedia content for social media and digital communications;Experience filming and editing short interviews;Ability to work effectively in a live event environment;Access to their own professional photography, video and audio equipment;Ability to work in English;Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently and within the established deadline;High ethical standards.TimelineThe consultancy will take place in November 2026, in connection with the Global Inter-Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children in Manila, the Philippines. The assignment is expected to require approximately 5 working days, including preparation, on-site event coverage and post-production – within the period from 9 November 2026 to 27 November 2026.An initial selection of photographs content should be shared shortly after the event.
