Country: Bosnia and HerzegovinaOrganization: Habitat for HumanityClosing date: 29 Sep 2026Opportunity Type:RegularSummary:Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Director - Global Program Design & Execution, Housing Finance Systems opportunity. This individual will provide strategic leadership for program innovation, learning, and effectiveness across a global portfolio. They will develop programmatic guidance and standards, champion pilot initiatives and targeted interventions, and foster cross-regional collaboration to accelerate organizational learning and impact. They will lead strategically important assignments and projects and work closely with regional and functional leaders to identify emerging opportunities, scale successful approaches, and strengthen the capacity of teams and partners to achieve strategic objectives.This position will be remotely based within the United Kingdom or Bosnia.Key Responsibilities:Designs, oversees, and evaluates pilot initiatives, innovative approaches, and targeted interventions to address emerging needs and strategic priorities.Facilitates cross-regional learning, knowledge exchange, and the identification and scaling of promising practices across country and regional programs.Partners with regional and functional leaders to translate organizational priorities into actionable programs, tools, and implementation support.Monitors program performance and effectiveness using data, evidence, and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement and inform strategic decision-making.Oversees program budgets, resource allocation, and operational planning to ensure effective and efficient delivery of initiatives.Identifies and mitigates programmatic risks and implementation challenges while promoting adaptive management and organizational learning.Ensures alignment with organizational policies, donor requirements, and applicable quality and compliance standards.Lead and ensure quality completion of key strategic assignments and projects.Represents the organization in internal and external forums, fostering collaboration, partnerships, and knowledge sharing that advance program objectives.Key Requirements:Bachelor's degree in International Development, Public Policy, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.12+ years of progressively responsible professional experience in program management, strategy development, capacity strengthening and organizational learning in the financial sector.Demonstrated experience of working in multiple emerging markets, particularly with financial institutions and associations on housing finance and financial inclusion.Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and evaluating multi-country or cross-functional initiatives.Experience facilitating stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing across diverse geographies and functions.Preferred:Master's degree in International Development, Public Policy, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.Experience in working on thematic areas of climate and MSME finance.Experience developing programmatic guidance, frameworks, toolkits, or organizational standards.Demonstrated success leading pilots, innovation initiatives, or evidence-based interventions from concept through scaling and adoption.Experience driving organizational learning, change management, and cross-regional collaboration.Professional certification in program management, change management, organizational development, or related disciplines.About Us:Habitat for Humanity, founded in 1976, is a global, Christian-based nonprofit organization that grew out of an intentionally multi-racial community in rural Georgia.
