Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Present in 26 countries, the SI teams – 3200 people in total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at HQ, and a few volunteers - intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultural norms. ABOUT THE MISSION Solidarités International operates across the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, with operational teams in Deir el-Balah and Ramallah and mission coordination in Jerusalem (although some national coordination staff work out of Ramallah). The position works at coordination level and covers both Gaza and West Bank operations, ensuring consistent administrative, HR and financial support across the mission. SI delivers emergency and early-recovery WASH assistance, shelter and essential-item distributions, and is scaling up nutrition-sensitive FSL activities, including a EUR 1.3 million FIFSAN project with a Palestinian partner. The portfolio relies on close cooperation with local organizations and must continually adapt to volatile access, damaged infrastructure, fragile markets and supply constraints. The Palestinian context is a particularly volatile one, especially in recent months in the West Bank, and in Gaza there are for the moments no signs of a resolution to the political and humanitarian crisis engulfing the exclave and its 2 million residents. ABOUT THE JOB General objective: The Logistic Coordinator steers a mission’s logistical activities in order to ensure that Solidarités International in-country programs run smoothly. He/she implements Solidarités International mission procedures and logistical tools, and ensures that they are properly used and adhered to. He/she participates in defining Solidarités International’s mission strategy, in drawing up projects and in assessing the resources needed for Solidarités International activities. He/she supports the Head of Mission in operational security management. He/she is the point of reference for the mission and serves as the link between headquarters and the mission for all matters relating to logistics. The main challenges: 1) Shift the department from reactive emergency support to proactive, structured logistics without losing surge capacity. 2) Manage simultaneous Gaza, West Bank and Jerusalem timelines, including the heavy 2720 workload, access constraints, fragile markets and international pipelines. 3) Improve joint planning and communication between Programs, Access/Liaison and Logistics from proposal design through delivery. 4) Understanding the tax and other bureaucratic implications of import from Israel, Jerusalem, and West Bank. Security constraints: The position is based at coordination level in Jerusalem, with frequent visits to Ramallah. Jerusalem presents no major security constraints, but the wider mission context remains volatile: Gaza faces major security and access challenges, while movement in parts of the West Bank can be restricted and occasionally exposed to violence. All travel to Gaza or outside usual areas is subject to security validation. Strict compliance with movement procedures is required. YOUR PROFILE DIPLOMAS AND EXPERIENCE Diploma : Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field is preferred. Experience in the humanitarian sector : 3/4 yars Experience on a similar position : 3/4 years SKILLS TECHNICAL SKILLS • Strong command of humanitarian supply chain management: procurement, international supply, transport, warehousing, fleet, equipment and premises. • Ability to transition from emergency arrangements to standard SI logistics procedures while keeping rapid-response capacity and simplifying processes where appropriate. • Experience with market assessments, framework agreements, supplier management, pipeline planning and procurement planning from proposal stage. • Strong Excel and logistics reporting skills; confident use of procurement and supply planning tools, including the Procurement Planning Tool. • Knowledge of donor compliance, import and customs processes, tax-exemption mechanisms and access-related supply constraints is an asset. TRANSVERSAL SKILLS • Experience working in Arab culture, and knowledge of how to approch and communicate with national staff • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet multiple deadlines. • Ability to model good behavior and team work across a diverse team in a politically, socially, and religious complex context • Clear communication and ability to manage frustration in stressful situations • Ability to learn, with a strong growth mindset • High standards of rigor, integrity, accountability, discretion and confidentiality. • Adaptability, initiative and strong cross-department collaboration with Program, Access/Liaison and Coordination teams. LANGUAGES • English is mandatory • Arabic is not mandatory but highly desirable and may compensate for some experience SI WILL OFFER YOU A salaried position: According to experience, starting from EUR 2860 gross per month (2600 base salary + 10% annual leave allowance paid monthly) and a monthly Per Diem of USD 750. SI also covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment. Breaks: During the assignment, a system of alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months (with a USD 850 break allowance, allocated by Sl). To these breaks periods, SI grants one (1) additional rest day per month worked. Insurance package: Expatriates benefit from an insurance package which refunds all healthcare expenses (including medical and surgical expenses, dental care and ophthalmological expenses, repatriation) and a welfare system including war risks. Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are refunded. LIVING CONDITIONS: SI has a coordination office in Sheikh Jarrah and an equipped guesthouse in Shuafat with internet, kitchen, laundry and shared living areas. Jerusalem is generally safe and movement in most areas is possible. Staff should avoid walking alone at night and must not visit outskirts, settlements or refugee camps without prior validation. Some neighborhoods can be sensitive. Access to Ramallah is generally manageable but may be affected by checkpoints and temporary movement restrictions.
