The MICS7 will be implemented using CAPI (Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing) to reduce data collection time, facilitate real-time monitoring, improve data quality and reduce survey costs. Under the overall supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation (CRM) Specialist, the National MICS consultant will support the preparation, implementation and completion of the MICS survey in Uzbekistan. The consultant will work closely with and advise the NSC, especially the Survey Coordinator and sampling and data processing experts, during survey planning, questionnaire design, sampling, training, fieldwork, data processing, data analysis, dissemination and archiving, ensuring that MICS protocols and recommendations are followed at all times. The consultant will communicate effectively between the UNICEF CO and NSC, participate in required meetings, and coordinate the work of other resource people hired by UNICEF to provide technical assistance. The Consultant will work in close collaboration with the Regional MICS Coordinators at UNICEF Regional Office and the MICS Team at UNICEF Headquarters, as well as expert consultants assigned to support the Uzbekistan MICS (collectively labelled "The UNICEF MICS Team").
