In 2026, we changed our name from Mercy Corps to Prosper Global, to reflect our belief that when every community can prosper, all of humanity moves forward.The Program / Department / TeamThe Philanthropic Growth and Engagement department (PG&E) works to raise private funds, cultivating and maintaining relationships with private donors; define the agency’s brand, raising our public profile and sharing stories about our work by engaging with the media, the public, and our supporters; and produces a wide range of online and offline communications.In support of that mission, the Corporate Partnerships team develops and executes partnership strategies and initiatives to support increased revenue from top fortune 500 corporate donors and prospects. The team manages Prosper Global’s relationships with major corporate social responsibility and corporate foundation teams focused on securing six and seven-figure gifts, in-kind/probono support, brand visibility, and thought partnership. We are passionate about Prosper Global’s mission and dedicated to supporting our worldwide team that is improving the lives of 30 million people in more than 30 countries.The PositionThe Deputy Director is responsible for supporting private fundraising and partnership development in support of Prosper Global’s strategic priorities, as outlined in the Pathway to Prosperity (P2P). The Deputy Director will support Directors on the corporate partnerships team to advance strategic partnerships with top donors, prospects, and influencers. The successful candidate will have relationship management experience, an understanding of Prosper Global programming and trends in philanthropy, strong written and verbal communications, and experience in project management.Essential ResponsibilitiesPRIVATE FUNDRAISING & PROJECT MANAGEMENTOwn a portfolio of corporate partners and prospects that are appropriate for the deputy-level role. Create partnership strategies to secure new funding and renewals through adept management of the donor lifecycle, including new business development, proposal development, closing, ongoing stewardship efforts, and renewals.Outside of the deputy's assigned portfolio, provide business development, stewardship, and communications support to a range of corporate donors and prospects, in alignment with P2P priorities and emerging corporate funding trends.Support and project manage the business development process. Write/edit concepts, proposals, pitch decks, and other fundraising materials.Support and project manage the development and delivery of stewardship materials such as info sheets, program updates, and formal reports.Support and project manage initiatives in support of corporate partnerships, including trips and meetings, profile elevating events, campaigns, and communications.In partnership with the Employee Impact team, support employee engagement projects to drive awareness and increase unrestricted support through workplace giving.INTERNAL COORDINATIONSupport knowledge management by maintaining donor and prospect records in Raiser's Edge NXT (CRM), SharePoint, etc. ensuring institutional knowledge is captured, shared and accessible across the team.Collaborate with program, technical and innovation team members to match key program needs with potential funders and develop successful proposals.Coordinate with program, technical, innovation, communications, and leadership team members to ensure donor engagement strategies can be effectively implemented.EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENTEffectively represent Prosper Global in donor and prospect meetings, communications, and at events.Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and other content to support colleagues and leadership in external representation.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of strategic priorities, relevant technical areas, and key partnerships to represent the organization and programs to internal and external stakeholders.SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIESActively learn about safeguarding and integrates it into their work, including safeguarding risks and mitigations related to their area of work.Practice the values of Prosper Global including respecting the dignity and well-being of participants and fellow team members.Encourage openness and communication in their team; encourages team members to submit reports if they have any concerns using reporting mechanisms e.g., Integrity Hotline and other options.Supervisory ResponsibilityNone.AccountabilityReport directly to: Director of Development & EngagementWorks directly with: Directors of Corporate Partnerships, Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships, Employee Impact Officers, Country Program teams, Award Management TeamAccountability to Participants and StakeholdersProsper Global team members are expected to support all efforts toward accountability, specifically to our program participants, community partners, other stakeholders, and to international standards guiding international relief and development work.
