REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST(CONSULTANT SERVICES)Federative Republic of BrazilPernambuco Sustainable Water ProjectState Secretary of Water and Energy Resources, SRHE/PECONSULTING SERVICESLoan No. 7778-BRExpressions of interestThe State of Pernambuco has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Pernambuco Sustainable Water Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services.The services include the selection/recruitment consulting corporate for preparation of Studies Mechanisms Charging for Water Use in the State of Pernambuco. The services will be performed within 12 (twelve) months and involve the following steps: i. Analysisof methodologies for implementation of charging for the use of surface and ground water (consumptive and non-consumptive use) and the pollution of water, ii. Assessment of the Legal and Institutional Framework, national and state, to implement the billing system, iii. Propositions collection methodologies, simulation of potential collection and storage processes and iv. Preparation of the draft law regulating the collection in the State of Pernambuco.The Pernambuco State Secretary of Water and Energy Resources (SRHE/PE) now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriateskills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
