The Website, Editorial and Governance Section within UNICEF’s Division of Global Communication and Advocacy (DGCA) is seeking to hire a consultant with specialized web editorial, Content Management System, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) expertise as well as knowledge of humanitarian communications and issues related to child rights and youth participation. The consultant will support digital communication and content development for Phase I of UNICEF’s “Child Rights, Safety and Inclusion in the Digital Environment” agenda, as well as rapid-response emergency and evergreen content priorities on unicef.org. The “Child Rights, Safety and Inclusion in the Digital Environment” area of work focuses on advancing children’s rights in the digital environment, including issues related to digital governance, artificial intelligence, online safety, platform accountability, children’s data rights, social media, digital inclusion, and the participation of parents, children and young people in decisions shaping digital spaces. The agenda requires the development of public-facing digital content that translates complex policy, advocacy and research materials into clear, engaging and accessible web products for global audiences.
