The Security Associate (GS-6) provides technical, operational, and administrative support to the Security Officer in implementing UNICEF's security management framework to ensure the safety and security of personnel, eligible family members, premises, assets, and operations. The incumbent supports security planning, monitors the local security environment, coordinates security measures, maintains liaison with relevant security stakeholders, and contributes to the implementation of UN and UNICEF security policies, contingency plans, and emergency preparedness activities. The role also supports knowledge management, security training, and capacity-building initiatives while ensuring compliance with established security standards and procedures to enable the safe and effective delivery of UNICEF programmes.
