The United States Government remains UNICEF’s largest donor. Unlike many other donors whose funds are received in advance, the majority of US Government funding is provided to UNICEF on a reimbursement basis. The Finance Officer contribute directly to sustaining positive donor relations, strengthening UNICEF’s credibility with the US Government, and ensuring full compliance with the requirements of the relevant US Government bureaus. Effective management of US receivables supports the integrity, reliability, and accuracy of UNICEF’s financial statements. In addition, the technical support provided to Country Offices and the Global Shared Services Centre enhances grant management practices at the country level and improves the quality and accuracy of grant-related data and processes within the Grants Module.
