MRD works closely with local communities and international partners to empower vulnerable populations, including survivors of detention and torture, families of the missing, women, and youth. Job Title: MHPSS Expert Location: Deir ez-Zor Position Purpose The MHPSS Expert leads the design, coordination, and technical quality of mental health and psychosocial support services at the center level, ensuring survivor-centered, evidence-based interventions and compliance with international standards. Key Responsibilities • Lead planning and implementation of MHPSS activities at the center. • Supervise and mentor MHPSS Facilitators. • Ensure interventions follow IASC guidelines, Istanbul Protocol and MRD safeguarding standards. • Establish and update referral pathways to specialized mental health services. • Develop staff training, case reviews, and debriefing sessions. • Support donor reporting and represent MRD in MHPSS cluster meetings. Qualifications • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field. • At least 4 years’ experience in MHPSS programming, with 2 years in a supervisory role. • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and child protection. • Excellent leadership and staff support skills. • Arabic required.
