MiCT invites interested and qualified persons to submit an application by Tuesday 16.08.2026. This is a freelance position running from August 2026 - June 2027. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.About MiCTMedia in Cooperation and Transition (MiCT) is a non-profit organisation delivering expert media services in complex and challenging contexts with passion, precision, and agility.Through collaborative work with partners, MiCT fosters transparent, inclusive, and fair dialogue supporting resilient societies. Operating across three continents and 15 countries, MiCT facilitates journalist training, media content production, research, monitoring, and supports the financial sustainability of media partners.Description of the roleTo support translation of the key project documents MiCT is looking for a freelance translator (Arabic/English). Tasks include:Written translation of surveys from English to ArabicWritten translation of project reports and documents from English to ArabicWritten translation of interview responses from Arabic to EnglishVerbal simultaneous translation during meetings, interviews and trainings as requiredApplication RequirementsSuccessful applicants should be able to provide proof of the following:Extensive professional translation experienceKnowledge of vocabulary pertaining to journalism and press freedomExperience working with NGOs and iNGOs preferredHow to applyApplications, including CV, confirmation of availability, 3 work samples and fee per 100 words, & fee per hour of simultaneous translation should be sent to fellowship@mict-international.org by 16.08.2026, citing the subject: “Translator Arabic/English”.
