The project comprises the refurbishment and standardisation of the Emergency Water Storage (EWS) infrastructure at ten locations within the Episkopi area. The works include the removal and disposal of existing fibreglass and GRP sectional water storage tanks at eight locations, modification and extension of existing concrete bases where required, and the supply and installation of 25No new 20 m3 polyethylene (PE) water storage tanks complete with associated valves, pipework and mechanical fittings. The project also includes connection of all new tanks to the existing potable water distribution network, provision of automatic tank refilling arrangements, and all associated civil, mechanical and commissioning works required to deliver fully operational and standardised EWS installations. In addition, the works include connecting the existing Emergency Water Storage tanks at two further locations to the potable water mains to provide automatic replenishment.
