Awarded contract | £61,125 - £0 | Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue Service | Vans
The Authority requires the purchase of two new Fiat Ducato vans to support operational service delivery across the organisation. These vehicles will be utilised for operational logistics, transportation, and specialist fleet requirements to ensure continuity of service delivery. The Authority has identified that the most cost-effective and compliant route for procurement is via the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Framework RM6244 (Lot 2), which is valid from 29/11/2022 to 28/11/2026. This framework provides access to pre-approved suppliers and enables significant cost savings through pre-negotiated discounts.Following this approach, Fiat a subsidiary of Stellantis was selected and Adams Morey Ltd has been identified as the local dealership supplier based on their compliant offering and competitive pricing available through the framework. The procurement delivers a manufacturer discount of approximately 24%, representing clear value for money. Both vehicles require additional specification enhancements and light conversion works to ensure they are fit for purpose. These include items such as racking, glazing, ply lining, dashcam installation and other operational modifications. The procurement of these vehicles will ensure the Authority maintains operational capability, supports business continuity, and enables the continued delivery of critical services.
