Documentation of Hateful Rhetoric Targeting Minority Populations in South Africa

This proposed program will seek to document hateful rhetoric and violent acts against minority communities, assess access to justice and law enforcement protection, as well as research widespread violence affecting both minorities and the broader population in South Africa. The implementing partner will conduct conflict sensitive research and data collection to create a comprehensive record of violence affecting Afrikaner and other South African minority populations in line with international standards and develop recommendations for how to improve the law enforcement situation to ensure equal protection The following organizations are eligible to apply: U.S.-based non-profit organizations/NGOs with or without 501(c)(3) status Private, public, or state institutions of higher education For-profit organizations or businesses Foreign-based non-profit organizations/nongovernment organizations (NGO) Public International Organizations DRL-PRU-Solicitation@state.gov Funding to support Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor
