SYCAC maintains an operational presence in Syria through an approved local registration.Job PurposeSYCAC is seeking an External Relations & Partnerships Manager to lead partnership development, donor engagement, and representation with coordination platforms and government stakeholders in Damascus, supporting the sustainability of SYCAC's programs and expanding funding and collaboration opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and manage relationships with donors, UN agencies, and international organizations; track funding priorities and partnership opportunitiesRepresent SYCAC in humanitarian and development coordination platforms, including cluster meetings and relevant forumsSupport development of proposals, concept notes, position papers, and advocacy materials, ensuring external messaging is aligned with SYCAC's prioritiesCoordinate with relevant ministries and government entities, including follow-up on approvals, permits, and regulatory proceduresCoordinate closely with the Executive Director and program/operations teams, providing regular updates on the coordination and donor landscapePrepare monthly external relations and partnership reports and periodic briefs on developments, risks, and opportunitiesRequired QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Development Studies, Humanitarian Affairs, or a related field (Master's degree an advantage)Experience: Minimum 7 years in external relations, partnerships, or donor engagement within the humanitarian/development sector; demonstrated experience with institutional donors, UN agencies, and INGOs; experience in representation within humanitarian coordination mechanisms and clusters; strong understanding of the Syrian context and Damascus coordination environment (experience liaising with Syrian government authorities is an asset)Technical Skills: Strong understanding of humanitarian coordination systems and donor landscapes; knowledge of proposal development and partnership management; excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to produce high-quality reports and strategic materialsLanguages: Fluency in Arabic required; strong proficiency in English requiredHow to applySYCAC is committed to equal opportunity and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.Selection will be based on merit, qualifications, competencies, and relevant experience.SYCAC is committed to providing a safe working environment free from harassment, exploitation, abuse, and discrimination.Shortlisted candidates will undergo background and professional reference checks.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.SYCAC reserves the right to initiate the recruitment process before the application deadline if deemed necessary.Interested candidates may please fill the application at the following link: Apply now
