MiCT invites interested and qualified persons to submit an application by Wednesday August 26th 2026 23.59CET.1. Introducing MiCTMedia in Cooperation and Transition (MiCT) is a non-profit organisation delivering expert media services in complex and challenging contexts with passion, precision and agility. Through our collaborative work with our partners, we foster transparent, inclusive and fair dialogue supporting resilient societies that thrive. Across three continents and 15 countries, MiCT facilitates the training of journalists and media producers, programme and content development, radio and film production, magazine and book publishing, media research and monitoring, in addition to supporting the financial viability of our partners.2. Description of the roleTo support the effective project implementation MiCT is looking for freelance translators in the above-mentioned languages. Tasks include:Written translation per 100 wordsVerbal simultaneous translation during online meetings and trainings per hourA maximum of 10.000 words and 30h of simultaneous translation are expected per language. Due to ongoing needs assessment amongst project participants and adaptable project implementation no minimum workload can be guaranteed. The role description pertains to a freelance, remote and needs-based translation service. The contract duration will be the date of signature until 30 June 2027.4. Application RequirementsSuccessful applicants should be able to provide proof of the following:Fluency in at least one of the above mentioned translation languages and EnglishProven translation experienceKnowledge of vocabulary pertaining to journalism and press freedomProfessional journalistic experience preferredExperience working with NGOs and iNGOs preferredFlexible availability between September 2026 and June 2027How to apply5.
