Awarded contract | £48,121 - £0 | National Highways Limited | Development consultancy services

"National Highways recognises the importance of asset service life and the risks associated with premature maintenance and renewal, which can increase costs, environmental impacts, and health and safety risks due to additional exposure from unplanned maintenance or early renewal works.By identifying assets with significantly reduced service life due to poor quality, and implementing targeted improvement activities this work will reduce or eliminate unnecessary additional maintenance and renewal. This directly supports the Net Zero Plan by lower carbon emission, reducing safety risks, improving delivery efficiency, and minimising disruption to customers.Developing case studies ensures benefits are understood, proven, and repeatable, while developed improvement projects will support lower cost interventions with clear safety, carbon, delivery, and customer benefits. Overall, the approach reduces whole life costs, minimises risk and disruption, and maximises the value derived from existing assets. The activities are:- Support in identifying and analysing the performance of assets to increase or maintain service life, and the benefits of that.- Develop Case Studies to understand the benefits- Develop Improvement Projects for identified assets" Research and development services and related consultancy services, Research and development consultancy services Contract start: 2026-08-12T00:00:00+01:00 Contract end: 2027-06-30T00:00:00+01:00 Suitable for SMEs Suitable for VCSEs
