The Tower Block Dirty Utility Conversion works at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital comprise theconversion of existing dirty utility rooms into bin stores as part of remedial measures to improve firesafety. The scope of works includes isolating and draining down the hot and cold-water services;removing redundant pipework, fittings and waste connections serving the sluice sink; stripping out theexisting worktop and wall-mounted fixtures; isolating and removing socket fronts to facilitate theinstallation of floor-to-ceiling white rock wall cladding with jointing strips; reinstating socket fronts uponcompletion; providing Chapter 8 barriers to the lift lobby and ward access areas; checking that risercupboard door locks and slip bolts are operational; and providing a banksman as required.
