Based at the Australian Embassy in Majuro and reporting to the Second Secretary, the successful candidate will support the effective delivery, monitoring, and continuous improvement of development investments aligned with Australia’s development priorities and RMI’s national goals.The role focuses on building strong partnerships, enhancing program performance and accountability, strengthening monitoring and evaluation systems, and supporting the capacity development of partners and Embassy staff. You must hold a tertiary qualification in Development Studies, Economics, Public Policy, or a related discipline and have experience in a senior advisory, program management, or development role.You will bring strong analytical, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgement, manage competing priorities, and build effective stakeholder relationships. You are committed to strengthening systems and processes, mentoring others, and building organisational capability through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. A strong understanding of cross-cutting development priorities, including gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI), climate resilience, child protection, anti-corruption, and safeguarding, is essential.Experience working in the Pacific or other resource-constrained environments will be highly regarded.We can make adjustments during the recruitment process for people with a disability.
