The NIDDK Disorders of Gastrointestinal Interoception Consortium (DGIC) - Clinical Research Centers (U01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites new applications to participate in the Diseases of Gastrointestinal Interoception Consortium (DGIC). The overall objectives of this consortium are to: 1) identify the underlying mechanisms that link altered GI interception more directly to GI dysmotility and symptoms; 2) identify disease or response biomarkers that better assess pathophysiology or treatment efficacy; and 3) leverage state-of-the-art technologies to identify novel therapeutic targets that could be assessed in future clinical trials.This NOFO uses a cooperative agreement mechanism (U01) and runs in parallel with a companion NOFO (RFA-DK-28-214).
