Field Finance Officer

Country: Syrian Arab Republic Organization: International Association for Relief and Development Closing date: 10 Nov 2026 Job Summary Responsible for ensuring that all project financial transactions are carried out in accordance with the organization’s policies and the contract signed with the partner, in coordination with the team, and for ensuring that all financial document templates are in place and compliant with the organization’s financial system. Location: Syria- Der ez-Zor- Ashara Duties and Responsibilities • Coordinate the project’s financial transactions. • Organize all procurement-related documents, such as invoices, as well as other financial documents, in line with ONSUR’s financial policy. • Review the documentation of the procurement document cycle and all financial transactions. • Prepare financial schedules and reports, and monitor the budget. • Archive all receipts and financial documents both electronically and in hard copy. • Prepare all payroll and expense payment requests. • Conduct field visits to project sites where payments or signatures are required from the beneficiary or vendor; verify and audit all payments, and archive them in a way that ensures easy access. • Adhere to the organization’s Code of Conduct, Safeguarding Policy, and the Policy on Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment, and report any complaint related to safeguarding or misconduct. Note: The key responsibilities listed above are indicative only. The post holder may be assigned other responsibilities in the future depending on the organizational structure of the department. Qualifications and Experience • Education: A university degree in Commerce, Economics, or a related field, or a diploma from an institute in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance and Banking. • Experience: Three or more years in a relevant position with non-profit organizations. • Languages: Arabic and English. • Report-writing skills. • Ability to travel. • Skills in Microsoft Office applications. Personal Skills and Competencies • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
