Prosper Global is a humanitarian organization working alongside communities facing conflict, climate change, and economic hardship to meet urgent needs and create the conditions for lasting progress. Today's challenges demand new solutions, so we pair local knowledge with global resources to help communities build what's needed, test what's possible, and scale what's proven so that people everywhere can pursue a full life on their own terms. In 2026, we changed our name from Mercy Corps to Prosper Global, to reflect our belief that when every community can prosper, all of humanity moves forward. Mercy Corps is transitioning to Prosper Global. Learn more here. As the transition is being implemented by location, you may see the Mercy Corps and Prosper Global names used concurrently during this period. This is an administrative transition, and our teams, programs and commitments continue without interruption. The Program / Department / Team Prosper Global's Sudan crisis response seeks to meet the humanitarian needs of vulnerable Sudanese and other conflict-affected people across the country. Prosper Global Sudan is recognized as a leader in market systems, agricultural, and food security and building on this experience, the MC Sudan humanitarian program will layer in resilience and other program activities where appropriate and feasible to do so. Assistance is delivered with a focus on needs, in partnership with local actors and civil society. Collective Sudan is an innovative nexus Consortium platform formed in August 2023, bringing together 19 organizations committed to delivering more effective assistance through a harmonized cash-plus approach. Guided by local knowledge, global best practice and evidence-based adaptation, Collective Sudan works across the country – including hard-to-reach areas – to provide inclusive, scalable, and integrated interventions that meet urgent needs while supporting foundations for recovery and resilience. By leveraging cash and markets to address multi-sectoral basic needs, Collective Sudan strengthens local agency, civil society and promotes economic stability while catalysing more coordinated, efficient and impactful humanitarian action and recovery. By positioning cash as the default modality, Collective Sudan enables choice and dignity aligned with accountability and people-centred design, while reducing harmful coping strategies and supporting local markets.
